Advice...

I borrowed this from my ex D.S. from the NEO District... too good not to pass on...
AN OLD FARMER'S ADVICE
* Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
*Keep skunks and bankers at a distance. (sorry Steve and others!)
*Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
* A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.
* Words that soak into your ears are whispered...not yelled.
* Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.
* Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.
* Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.
* It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge
* You cannot unsay a cruel word.
* Every path has a few puddles.
* When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
* The best sermons are lived, not preached.
* Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.
* Don't judge folks by their relatives.
* Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
* Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.
* Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't bothering you none.
* Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a Rain dance.
* If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.
* Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
* The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with watches you from the mirror every mornin'.
* Always drink upstream from the herd.
* Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
* Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.
* If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.

He's waiting on you...

Time

Boy I can't believe that my oldest girl is moving into her SENIOR year in high school. My middle child, she is moving into her freshman year and my youngest, my boy is going to be 9 in a few short weeks! And above all that as I was watching them grow My wife turned 41 this year!....Oh yes... I turned 40! So time really does fly by... and time goes as slow as... whatever the slowest thing is. But the scriptures tell us this is how it will be... Ecclesiastes 3:1-11... here is a short portion..."For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die....." v. 11 "Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart,...."
Everything that happens to us is a beautiful thing ... even the bad things... What? How can bad things be beautiful? What has he planted in our hearts.... eternity! All of us no matter who we are will spend eternity in eternity. So whatever we are going through... good or bad... "This too shall pass" BUT eternity will never pass... we have to endure this present time and space and the seasons that happens.... so we can make it to the "TIME" that will never pass nor change... eternity.
He's Waiting... to be with you in eternity... will you be WITH Him?

The Loss

Tonight I lost one of my 5 month old pups. I own/run/hunt rabbits with beagles. Her name was "Lula" I gave her a Ham bone... well apparently you can't give a beagle bones. You see I didn't learn enough about my beagle and so I had to learn the hard way. Sometimes in life we have to learn the hard about things.... in our journey with Jesus we have to learn the hard way.... we may study all we can.... pray all we can... but its in the hard times where we learn the most. The hard times in life is where we get close to Jesus, listen more, study closer the things that we need to learn.... its in the hard times that the nearness of Christ can overcome any and everything for us! "cast all your cares/anxiety/problems/stress/ on him because HE cares for you" What a wonderful promise for us to know that the ONE & ONLY loves us that much that any/everything that we need to lay into his hands.... HE WANTS!
He's waiting for you... to be near you!

He is There!!!!

Do you know when all else fails in this world... He is there! Do you know when you think you are doing OK and you find out that you are crap... He is there! Do you know that when you do something to the best of your ability and your still not right.... He is there! Do you know that when the things that you rely on the most turns on you... He is there! Do you know that when you're talked about behind your back.... He is there to talk to you face to face, heart to heart! Do you know that when you don't want to spend another day on this earth... He is there!
He's waiting... THANK YOU LORD FOR NOT LEAVING NOR FORSAKING!!!!!!

The Devil Is Waiting...

The title of my blog is "He's Waiting" but what I have come to learn is that the devil is waiting too. He's waiting for an opportune time to.... do whatever he can to derail us. The devil is fighting hard to do what he does best and distract us from the lessons that God has taught us. I don;t know about you but sometimes I let my emotions or feelings take over my mind and heart and in turn the devil seizes this opportunity to move in and before I know it I am going down a path that is not very Christ-like. But I am reminded that "He's waiting".... the HE in this is the only and only Jesus.... Lord help me help my stupid self! May we always go running to the ONE who is ALWAYS waiting on us!
